As a fine art freight forwarder, we have always strived to be at the forefront of innovation, starting in 2017 with the launch of an Instant Quoting and booking platform that revolutionized the market. This tool is still unique in the art industry and has empowered our 1,600+ clients to instantly quote and book all stages of art shipping online - from specialized art insurance to white-glove delivery.
The technology from the Instant Quoting platform has now been transformed into two helpful tools, Convelio's API and Widget. The products have been integrated with a range of clients from auction houses to online marketplaces and art fairs. They are adaptable to many of the clients that Convelio serves; different business models have specific purchase experiences, and consequently unique shipping needs.
Convelio’s API is a streamlined solution for the ultimate click-and-buy online experience. By including shipping costs at checkout, the end clients simply need to select from our various shipping options and confirm their delivery details on the host website. Convelio’s Widget, the light version of integration, allows end clients to generate instant shipping quotes on an artwork page before easily booking their order on our Instant Quoting tool. It can be integrated in a matter of days!
One of our early collaborators was Galerie François Léage, the renowned Paris-based antique gallery. Convelio's Widget has given their end clients full transparency on the total cost, and shipping timelines, even before they purchase a work.
