Design Miami is the global forum for design. Each year, in their Miami and Basel editions, the fair brings together the most influential collectors, gallerists, designers, curators and critics from around the world in celebration of design culture and commerce.
The fair is opening later this week and Convelio is proud to announce that we have been appointed as the official shipping partner. In this role we have been driving the operations, collection and installation of works for exhibitors from London, Copenhagen and multiple locations across North and South America. The fair has changed locations this year and will be in the prominent Moore building in Miami’s historic design district. This partnership highlights Convelio’s U.S. growth, as well as the fair's drive to enhance the digital experience for exhibitors and collectors.
Design Miami/ is one of the few fairs going ahead this year, and driving international operations during a pandemic has had its challenges. However, our focus on digital ways of working has meant we have been able to fully support the fair in the lead up and in the installation of the event. As Edouard Gouin, Convelio’s CEO and Co-Founder, stated:“As Convelio is tech-enabled we have been able to continue to operate safely and efficiently throughout the pandemic. We know the benefits of this approach and as a company we have a clear mission to support digitalisation in the art world, we see this as a core which is critical to future proofing the industry.”
This year, the theme for Design Miami/ is “America(s)”. Drawing from the fair’s wide network of international galleries, designers, and creative studios, the exhibition will be honing in, dissecting and inspecting “America as an idea, an ideal, and a work-in-progress that transcends singular identities and geographies”.
This theme, and Convelio’s partnership with Design Miami/ more broadly, comes at an exciting time for our tech-enabled fine art shipping company. Expansion into the U.S. market is a natural next step that we have already begun to take: we just released instant art shipping options for the US and opened our New York office earlier this year!

Convelio’s newly released instant booking platform will serve our U.S. based clients. This tool will allow them to organise all aspects of transportation for high value art and design pieces online. Through the platform shipments can be arranged for local, interstate and international orders. The platform provides competitive quotes instantly, and means that all aspects of logistics, from processing to packing, shipping and tracking, can be entirely digital.
