Convelio is delighted to once again be partnering with 1-54 Paris as the event's Official Shipping Partner. The 1-54 Fair is dedicated to contemporary art from Africa and the African diaspora and is returning to Paris from April 7th to 10th.
The event will take place at Christie’s auction house galleries on Avenue Matignon, and will feature 23 exhibitors and more than 50 artists; art lovers and fair goers will be able to engage with artworks from up-and coming artists including Djibril Drame (DADA Gallery), Aboudia (Jack Bell Gallery) and Adegboyega Adesina (The Breeder), as well as established artists such as Seydou Keita (Galerie Nathalie Obadia) and Kendell Geers (didier CLAES).
For the second edition of 1-54 Paris, visitors will also look forward to a variety of coinciding events. The 1-54 Forum is the fairs multidisciplinary programme of talks, workshops and readings, which explores themes like cultural resistance and appropriation, historical perception, and more. The 1-54 Special Projects will be marked with a large-scale installation by Parisian-based artist Aicha Snoussi and the unveiling of a new work by the N.E.T collective in celebration of the African Space Art Project.
At 1-54 Paris, Convelio will be responsible for shipping fine art and exhibition material to and from Christie’s Paris, as well as packing and unpacking artworks at the booths. Where possible, the team will use consolidated fine art shipping services to reduce costs for exhibitors, as well as offer new services to support. Additionally, Convelio will take care of bespoke wood crating, insurance and any necessary customs formalities, such as the temporary import of pieces.
Exhibitors and artists can request a quote on Convelio’s online shipping platform or directly through dedicated fair managers to secure fine art logistical support during the fair.
Understanding the importance of post-fair art logistics, we will also be offering all exhibitors one week storage at the Paris warehouse after the event. This means art fair operators can organize shipping for sold items with the peace of mind that artworks are protected in art fair storage facilities.
